John received a BSEE of University of Illinois in 1980 and has had a long and very successful career in the high tech industry. He has held a number of engineering and executive management positions in several technology related companies. Some in the technology industry know him as the principle founder of PCMCIA a organization responsible for creating the little slot on your notebook computer which you can put a modem, LAN and storage cards into.

More recently John was the CEO of Lexar Media (Nasdaq: LEXR), a leading provider of digital film to professional photographers, a company that he co-founded in 1997. John took the company public in 2000 and in 2003 left the company to pursue his lifelong passion for creating art by starting Legacy Artists with his wife and art partner Terry.

John has always had a desire to create art and could often be found running technology companies by day and creating art by night. For the past several years John has been passionately focused on using the latest tools and technology to help create museum quality artwork, which combines the best attributes of photography, digital painting and traditional oil painting into one work of art.
